It was discovered in the area of Kriaritsi of Sykia. It is dated between the end of the middle and the late phase of the Early Bronze Age (2300 – 1900 BC). 30 graves were hidden within this artificial mound in circular enclosures, each of which contained its ashes of the dead in vessels. The importance of the finding lies in it being unique in the area of Macedonia, as it enriches our knowledge of burial habits and the methods of construction of burial mounds during the Bronze Age.
