The history of “Karagkiozis Confectionery” began in 1984, when the owner of the store, Theofanis Karagkiozis, opened his own pastry shop in Neo Souli, Serres.
Located in the center of the village, it is constantly evolving, introducing new products and fantastic flavors for all kinds of taste buds.
Theofanis Karagkiozis worked in two top tier pastry shops, where he learned the art of pastry. In the period 1990-1991, he was teaching pastry secrets and technics to apprentices in one of these shops.
It is worth noting that the shop has its own, unique sweet, called “karagkiozaki”. This particular sweet is a creation of Mr. Karagkiozis and for this reason he has given it this specific name. “Karagkiozaki” is the trademark of the pastry shop and has amazed people of all ages with its fantastic taste. It has been established as the traditional sweet of the village of Neo Souli and its fame is spreading throughout Greece, since the visitors of the village take it with them back home.
