The Folklore Museum is located near the central square of Sidirokastro and is a donated personal collection of Michalis Tsartsidis. The visitor can learn about the daily habits of the inhabitants of the area, the livestock and agricultural tools they used, as well as see war material and publications from the years of the German-Bulgarian occupation.
The aims of the Museum are the research of local history and folklore, the designation of Macedonia as greek, the salvage of historical objects and the promotion of research on the history of the region. The Museum, which contains approximately 4,500 objects, consists of two sections, the historical and the folklore.
