Tulumba and tulumbaki are manifactured for 25 now in the city of Serres. Although it is not a traditional dessert of Serres, its taste and preparation method are unique in Greece.
The dough is made with flour, eggs and water. Using a special technique, it is fried in boiling oil and then immediately dipped in syrup. These can be found in all the patisseries in the city and are available in various flavors and with various coatings (chocolate, almonds, etc.).
